The Lok Sabha Speaker, Mrs. Meira Kumar today urged the judiciary to keep pace with the changing times to ensure access to justice especially to socially and economically backward sections of the society. She was addressing the concluding session of two-day seminar on Reforms in Judiciary in New Delhi this evening. Mrs. Kumar asserted for this the judiciary will have to relook at its current state of affairs and evolve a system accordingly.Mrs. Meira Kumar urged the jurists and lawyers to work towards ensuring speedy justice for the people and reduce the number of pending cases among other things. This she said will be a great step towards the reform process. Legal lumaniries, jurists and judges participated in the deliberations to discuss the issue.
