Leader of the Opposition and Congress leader Siddaramaiah has sought dismissal of BJP government in Karnataka following Friday's Supreme Court order in favor of 16 disqualified MLAs. Speaking to the media persons in Bangalore today, Siddaramaiah said if the Chief Minister did not resign and dissolve the Assembly immediately then they would approach the Governor to initiate constitutional steps under Article 356 to dissolve the Government. He observed that Supreme Court order showed that Speaker acted with prejudice against the disqualified MLAs, just to save the Government. He sought the resignation of the Speaker for being partial in his action against the 16 MLAs. Meanwhile, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has said the 11 BJP MLAs who won the case on Friday against their disqualification are part of the Government and the BJP's strength has now gone up from 105 to 121.
