Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has convened an all party meeting today on the eve of the Budget Session. The meeting has been called to ensure smooth running of the session. It may be recalled that the winter session of Parliament was disrupted over the opposition's demand for a JPC to probe corruption scams. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pavan Kumar Bansal has said that the government will take a decision on JPC probe issue before Wednesday. In reply to a question he said that JPC is set up to look into only one issue. The BJP has demanded the Parliamentary Panel to probe 2G Spectrum, Commonwealth Games and Adarsh Housing Scam. The Budget session will begin tomorrow with an address by President Pratibha Devisingh Patil to a joint sitting of two houses of Parliament. The Economic Survey and the Rail Budget will be presented on the 25th and the General Budget on 28th of this month.
