Speaker calls an All Party meeting today ahead of Monsoon Session

Speaker of the Lok Sabha Mrs. Meira Kumar has called an all-party meeting ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament which begins tomorrow. While the opposition has planned to raise issues of corruption and inflation, the government has decided to introduced 32 new bills.The government held discussions with opposition before finalising the Lokpal Bill which is to be introduced on Wednesday. The other important bills to come up include Land Acquisition Bill, Food Security Bill, the Benami Transactions Bill and the Mines and Minerals Bill. Ahead of the session, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal held a meeting with Chief Whips of political partis for having a smooth session. He said, governent is open for discussion on all issues on the floor of the House. The Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar held two round of talks with different political parties on the Women's Reservation Bill but there was no consensus in the present form of the bill.
