SP national convention elects Mulayam Singh Yadav as President

In Uttar Pradesh, the ninth convention of ruling Samajwadi Party today elected Mulayam Singh Yadav as its national president for next three years.

Announcing the result, Party election officer Ramgopal Yadav took the consent from the crowd that the powers may be vested in National president to reconstitute the national executive, which was accepted by a roaring yes.

The convention started today in Lucknow amid much fanfare. The convention is being attended by stalwarts of the party including its president Mulayam Singh Yadav, CM and state president Akhilesh Yadav , Ramgopal Yadav among others.

Janata Dal United president Sharad Yadav is also sharing the dais as special invitee. The three day national convention will ponder over the issues specially in the context of 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections. Over ten thousands of party workers are attending the convention.
