Samajwadi Party MPs from the Rajya Sabha today met Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to seek Central assistance worth around one lakh crore rupees for the development of Uttar Pradesh. On 14th April, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had met Prime Minister Dr Singh and submitted 38 letters. Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, SP spokesperson Ram Gopal Yadav said, in the last five years, UP has been ignored and has not been given its due. Mr Yadav said, the Centre should compensate for that and help in development of the state.
