SP MP gets breather in Cash-for-vote-scam

The Delhi High Court today quashed the trial court's order making Samajwadi Party MP Rewati Raman Singh an accused in the 2008 cash-for-vote scam case. Justice Suresh Kait said that the petition is allowed and the order of trial court is set aside.

The order of the high court came on a petition filed by Singh challenging the special court's order in October, making him an accused in the case and issuing summons against him despite a clean chit given to him by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police.
