In Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav today filed his papers from Azamgarh constituency. Accompanied by senior party leader Ram Asarey Vishwakarma and three State Government ministers Durga Prasad Yadav, Balram Yadav and Wasim Ahmad, Mulayam Singh filed three sets of papers.

AIR correspondent reports that Samajwadi Party president was forced to wait for about 20 minuts at district election officer's chamber to file his papers as BJP candidate Ramakant Yadav was already filing his papers before the Returning officer.

Our correspondent adds that Azamgarh is second seat from where Yadav has filed his candidature. He is also contesting from his traditional seat Mainpuri where polling will be heldon April 24.
