Sowing of Rabi crops is in progress in various parts of the country and it is in full swing. According to data released by the Ministry of Agriculture, around 200 lakh hectare area have been covered under the cultivation of Rabi crops so far. Wheat has been sown in around 50 lakh hectare while rice has been cultivated in nearly 50 thousand hectare area. Pulses have been cultivated in over 63 lakh hectare area.
