The southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Gangetic West Bengal and is active over East Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha. The MeT department has predicted that heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy fall would occur at a few places over Gujarat region today. It added that heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur today at a few places over Odisha and at isolated places over East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and Konkan and Goa. It has also predicted that heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Saurashtra, Kutch and Coastal Karnataka today.
