The southwest monsoon finally advanced into Delhi and the National Capital Region today with heavy showers continued across the NCR in the early hours of this morning. One or two spells of rain likely to occur during the day. However, the normal onset date of monsoon in the national capital was the 29th of June. <br/><br/>Talking to AIR, Met officials M Mohapatra said, the southwest monsoon advanced in the last 24 hours and finally struck the capital. He said, it has covered the entire National Capital Region and remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh and some more parts of Rajasthan, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
