Southern Naval Command today continued its search and rescue operation and provided humanitarian assistance and disaster relief material support in the cyclone Ockhi affected areas of Kerala coast. <br/><br/>Nine naval ships including frontline ships from Western Naval Command INS Chennai, Kolkata and four types of aircraft were continued to be deployed over an extended Search and Rescue area. <br/><br/>Defence Ministry in a release said, INS Kalpeni embarked six local fishermen from Kochi and INS Kabra embarked two fishermen from Kollam to join the ongoing Search and Rescue efforts and to facilitate guided search for missing fishing vessels.<br/><br/>All search and rescue activities are being conducted in coordination with central agencies. <br/><br/>
