South-west monsoon will become active again in coastal areas of Maharashtra on Monday: IMD

The India Meteorological Department on Saturday said that the south-west monsoon will become active again in the coastal areas of Maharashtra on Monday and will remain so for the next seven days.<br />''   <br />''Deputy Director General of Indian Meteorological Department's Mumbai Centre K. S. Hosalikar said, according to the IMD observations, the south-west monsoon is likely to become active on the west coast from 10th to 11th of August including Mumbai. He further said that the situation is likely to continue for a week.<br />'' <br />''Heavy rains and gusty winds had lashed Mumbai and neighbouring districts on Wednesday. The intensity of rain reduced gradually in the last two days.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The IMD has forecast generally cloudy sky with few spells of light to moderate rain /showers in the city and suburbs in the next 24 hours.</span><br />
