The south-west monsoon is progressing further into the country with the development of cyclonic circulation over east-central Arabian sea. Talking to AIR, senior scientist in the India Met department, Dr. M. Mohapatra said, under the influence of the cyclonic circulation, south-west winds have become much stronger and the monsoon has strengthened over the Arabian sea and the adjoining west coast of the country.
The Met office has predicted, the monsoon will further advance into remaining parts of Konkan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh during the next three days. Meanwhile, hot and humid weather conditions will continue over north-west India.
