South-west monsoon has finally arrived in Mumbai on Sunday. Mr. V.K. Rajeev, Director of Meteorology in Mumbai told AIR that heavy rain that lashed the city and suburbs since morning, is monsoon. He added that the monsoon has advanced up to southern Gujarat and covered entire Maharashtra except Nagpur. There is also forecast of heavy rainfall in Mumbai over the next 48 hours.
