The entire south Tamil Nadu coast has come under the security ring of the three forces of the country with the inauguration of Army-Navy communication centre at Rameswaram, Tamilnadu today. The centre will help defence forces in monitoring the entire Palk Bay, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining coastal areas.

Major General Hariappa, who is incharge of communications, inaugurated the centre.
The centre will be in addition to the unmanned air surveillance facility of Indian Navy at Uchipuli near Rameshwaram.
