South Korea and North Korea will hold reunions of families separated by the Korean War in the 1950s at the Mount Kumgang resort in North Korea today. Nearly 200 families from both sides are expected to be reunited during the six-day event, which was agreed by Seoul and Pyongyang last month. The last reunions were held in September 2009. The event will be held in two back-to-back segments. During the first three days, a total of 97 seniors from North Korea will be reunited with their 435 relatives in South Korea, while in the second segment from Nov.3 to 5, 96 South Korean elders will meet with their 207 relatives living in North Korea.
