South Korea to unveil sanctions on Iran today

South Korea will unveil sanctions on Iran today for its contentious nuclear programme suspected to be a cover for developing nuclear weapons. A spokesman of the Foreign Ministry said in Seoul the Government is planning to announce a set of sanctions against the Middle Eastern nation later in the day. The European Union, Australia, Canada and Japan have joined the U.S.-led campaign to punish Iran for its uranium enrichment programme, which Tehran says is only for peaceful purposes.
