South Central Railways cancelled 230 trains

In Andhra Pradesh, the South Central Railways have cancelled over 230 trains in view of the 48-hour rail roko agitation called by Telangana Joint Action Committee from Saturday. The Railway authorities have announced cancellation of 55 express train services and 176 passenger services which originate or pass through Telangana region for these two days.Another 44 trains have been partially cancelled and 55 trains including super fast expresses and long distance trains have been diverted from other parts of the state. Besides, 222 MMTS trains over hundred local tarian services have also been cancelled for the two days.Meanwhile, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has directed the officials to pay salaries on time to those employees who are not taking part in the ongoing General Strike. Pressing their demand for statehood for Telangana, the State Government employees and teachers are taking part in the general strike for the past 10 days.
