The 12th South Asian Games will be held in Guwahati and Shillong from December 10th to 20th. Official sources said, the dates of the South Asian Games were decided in a meeting of Sports Secretary Ajit Sharan with state sports secretaries of Assam and Meghalaya in Delhi yesterday. Indian Olympic Association President N Ramachandran and Secretary General Rajeev Mehta were also present in the meeting. The Games would see participation of around 2,500 athletes from the eight member-countries Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, the Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The last edition of the Games was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2010.
