South Africa's President Jacob Zuma has dismissed Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan after days of speculation that rocked the country's markets. Mr Gordhan will be replaced by Malusi Gigaba.<br/><br/>Sfiso Buthelezi will become Deputy Finance Minister, replacing Mcebisi Jonas. Zuma has also made ten other new cabinet appointments in a dramatic reshuffle widely seen as an attempt to control the selection of his successor. <br/><br/>Zuma is due to step down as head of the party in December, ahead of the 2019 General Election.
