South Africa tightens grip in first Test

South Africa tightened their grip in the first test against India at Nagpur on Monday. At stumps on Day Three, India were 66 for 2 in their second innings with Tendulkar 15 and Murali Vijay 27 were batting. Resuming the second innings after it failed to avoid the follow on, India lost two early wickets of Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag. While Gambhir was bowled by Markel at One run, Sehwag made 16 runs, before caught by Smith on the delivery of Steyn. Earlier, the hosts were bundled out for 233 in their first innings. Sehwag slammed 109 and Badrinath 56. For South Africa Steyn claimed 7 wickets for 51 runs. India still need 289 runs to avoid an innings defeat. The Score: India :- 233 and 66 for 2; South Africa 558 for 6 declared.
