South Africa's embattled President has been backed by a major decision-making body within the ruling ANC. It is looking at a complaint by some of the ANC top executives that Jacob Zuma had failed to consult them over reshuffling his cabinet. <br/><br/>A party official said, after considering the complaint, the ANC has decided not to press for Mr Zuma to resign. Mr Zuma has been under a growing pressure since sacking respected Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.<br/><br/>Yesterday South Africa's powerful Trades Union Federation Cosatu has called for President Jacob Zuma to step down. Its Secretary General Bheki Ntshalintshali said he is no longer the right person to lead the country.
