P.V. Sindhu has crashed out of the Indian Open Super Series Badminton tournament being played at New Delhi. She lost to Xijian Weng of China 15-21, 21-12, 10-21 in the first round. Syali Gokhale and Tripti Murgunde have entered the second round. Syali beat Tanvi Laad 21-17, 21-10 and Tripti beat Mudra Dhanji 24-22, 12-21, 21-18.However, P.C. Tulsi, Shruti Mundada and Syali Rane were eliminated in the first round. Saina Nehwal will start a campaign with her match against Simone Prush later in the evening. In the Men's singles Sourav Verma, P.Kashyap and R.M.V.Guru Sai Dutt have entered the second round. Kashyap beat sixth seed Zhengming Wang 21-12, 17-21, 21-12. However, H.S.Pranoy, Sai Praneet, Anup Sridhar, K.Srikanth and Anand Pawar lost their first round matches.In the Women's doubles, the pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponappa have entered the second round.Sourav Varma too reached the second round after beating Russia's Vladimir Ivanov 21-16 17-21 21-14. Another Indian, R M V Gurusaidutt also made his way to the next round with a 17-21 21-16 21-17 win over Chinese Taipei's Tien Chen Chou in another men's singles match.
