In Gujarat, a unique sound & light Programme titled “Jamuniya” has been launched in Rajkot of Saurashtra region. The programme will continue up to 2nd October along with Navratri celebrations. Jamuniya is based on a Multi Media Theatrical format involving more than 100 artists & technical crew and mounted by Song and Drama Division of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that the programme is aimed at highlighting the impact of key policies of the Government under various flagship programmes on the character ‘Jamuniya’, a woman staying in a typical Indian village. The programme is show-casing the empowerment of the character “Jamuniya” through the benefits of schemes available to common people at the grass-root level.
