Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren today renewed his appeal to Maoists to shun violence and hold talks. Mr. Soren, who is scheduled to meet Union Home minister P Chidambaram in Kolkata on the 9th of this month also appealed to the media to help in bringing the Maoists to the negotiating table. <br/><br/>Last week, the Maoists had issued a press release setting conditions, including lifting of the ban on it and release of jailed leaders, before a dialogue with the state government. Mr.Soren also said the state supported the Centre's initiatives against Maoists.<br/>
