UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, who is in Raebareli on a two day tour, visited Saranee Assembly constituency on Friday. Mrs. Gandhi visited various schools in the area covered under mid-day meal scheme. Mrs. Gandhi personally checked and inquired the quality of food being served to children in the schools. Mrs. Gandhi expressed her anger when she found in many of schools where mid day meal was not prepared properly either in quality or in quantity. She also inspected the newly constructed Dalmau bridge. She surprised locals when she visited a local vegetable market and checked retail prices of vegetables.
