On occasion of the Independence Day, the Congress President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi unfurled the National tricolour at the Congress Headquarter in New Delhi this morning. She saluted the National Flag to the tune of the National Anthem in a brief function which was also attended by the Prime Minister Dr. Monmohan Singh and his party colleges including Ministers, MPs, Sevadal Volunteers and Children. Mrs. Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh also distributed sweets to the children and got photographed with them. When asked by a large number of Media persons to give their comments on certain current issues, both Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Singh only conveyed their best wishes to the Media persons on occasion of the Independence Day.
