Sonia slams Left Front Govt in WB

Congress President Sonia Gandhi today criticised the Left Front Government in West Bengal alleging that the dreams shown by the Left Front to the people in the State were not fulfilled. Addressing an election rally in Jalpaiguri today she said, the people remain poor and their lifestyle is not changed even 34 years of Left Front ruling in West Bengal. BJP President, Nitin Gadkari and Trinamul Congress chief, Mamata Banerjee, CPI(M) State Secretary, Mr. Biman Basu have also addressed election rallies to woo the voters. Our Correspondent reports campaigning has gained momentum for the first phase of Assembly elections going to be held on Monday. Polling will take place in 54 Assembly seats spread across six North Bengal districts of the state in this phase. Over 97 lakhs 44 thousand voters will decide the political fate of 364 aspirants.
