Sonia rules out possibility of early Lok Sabha polls

Congress President Mrs Sonia Gandhi has ruled out the possibility of early Lok Sabha polls in the country.

Responding to a media query on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi on Saturday, she said, her party's aim is to go till the very end.

She expressed confidence that the UPA-III will come to power after the next polls, noting that the rights given to the people by the ruling alliance were its Unique Selling Proposition (USP).

On Food Security Bill, which is pending before Parliament for its passage, Gandhi said she is hopeful that it will be passed next week.

On the Telangana issue, she said that the AICC panel headed by senior Congress leader A K Antony is hearing the concerns of those affected.

Terming the gangrape of a photo-journalist in Mumbai as a henious crime, Gandhi, said she is saddened and pained at the incident.
