Congress President Sonia Gandhi has launched a scathing attack on BJP for claiming it alone had done all the development work in the country and others had done nothing. Addressing an election rally in Sasaram, she also did not spare JD(U) senior leader and Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar.
She charged the BJP with throwing dust in eyes of people only for sake of the chair. Attacking Nitish Kumar without naming him, she said some people are in the habit of blaming Congress to shield their own failures. She said he was with BJP only a few days back and now pretending to be secular.
Defending Congress solidly, Sonia Gandhi said the party has been working for the development of the nation and will continue to do so. Campaigning for Congress candidate and Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, Gandhi said the UPA government led by Congress brought Right to Information Act, RTI, to end corruption. She said it would ensure Right to Health and Right to Pension, if voted to power.
