Sonia Lather advanced to final of AIBA Women's World Boxing Championship at Astana in Kazakhstan yesterday. The lone Indian left in the fray, 24-year-old Sonia, defeated Khojabekova 3-0 in the 57 kilogram category to set up a clash with Italian Alessia Mesiano. Sonia who is a 2012 Asian Championships silver-medallist, is now just one win away from ending India's six-year-old gold medal drought.
