Sonia Gandhi to flag 12 new trains in UP from Feb 07

In Uttar Pradesh, about 12 new trains will be inaugurated and services of seven other trains will be extended from tomorrow. The UPA chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi will flag off them in a function organized at Kanpur. The Railway Minister Ms. Mamata Benerjee is also likely to attend the function.<br/><br/> Quoting official sources AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that tri weekly non stop Allahabad-New Delhi and Lucknow-New Delhi Duranto Express trains will be inaugurated from Sunday. These trains were announced in the rail budget. Besides, two other tri weekly trains including Mathura-Chhapra Express and Gorakhpur – Lokmanya Tilak express, will also be inaugurated.<br/><br/> Four daily trains including Varanasi-Jammu Tawi Super Fast Express, Lucknow Junction-Agra Cantt Intercity Express, Mathura-Kasganj Passenger and Gorakhpur-Nautanwa Passenger are also starting running from tomorrow. Two trains six days in a week including Kanpur-New Delhi Shatabdi Express and Gorakhpur-Nautanwa Express will also be available for passengers from tomorrow. Pratapgarh-Bhopal Express and Lucknow-Yeswantpur Express trains will be weekly. On the inauguration day theses trains will be running as special trains but from coming days they will be available as per their schedule.<br/><br/> Inauguration function is being held at railway stadium at Kanpur and massive arrangements have been made for public participation.
