Sonia Gandhi receives several complaints during her visit to Raebareli

Congress President Sonia Gandhi received several complaints from villagers regarding non implementation of welfare schemes in Raebareli district in Uttar Pradesh. She received these complaints during her visit to rural areas of the district.AIR Correspondent reports after reaching at district headquarter she visited a dalit community dominated Kumbhi villages under Mehrajganj tehsil of the district without any prior information. Villagers told her that MNAREGA is not being implemented at their village in proper way and many persons have not got job cards yet. She was also informed about midday meal scheme at school and ICDS scheme. Smt. Gandhi expressed her displeasure over bad condition of connecting roads and directed district officials to do needful. She will be at Raebareli for three days. During her stay Congress President will unveil a statue of noted Hindi writer Acharya Mahaveer Prasad Dwiwedi tomorrow at his native place. She will also chair a meeting of district vigilance and monitoring committee on Wednesday.
