On the 50th anniversary of 1965 war today, Congress President Sonia Gandhi paid homage to all the martyrs who sacrificed their life in honour of the nation.<br/><br/>In an official press release, Mrs. Gandhi said under the leadership of then Prime Minister Lal Bhadhur Shastri and Defence Minister Y B Chavan, the Indian forces displayed an exemplary courage and wrote yet another chapter in the history of India.<br/><br/>Mrs Gandhi also said the nation will forever remain indebted to the soliders who fought valiantly and upheld the tradition of country's armed forces.<br/><br/>On 28 August 1965 around 10 AM Indian forces had captured Haji pass from Pakistan which is now in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.<br/><br/>
