The Congress President Sonia Gandhi today said the opposition and civil society members of team Anna are leveling baseless allegations against the Prime Minister, the UPA government and the Congress party.

Addressing the Congress Working committee in New Delhi today, Mrs. Gandhi said, such allegations are part of a conspiracy and have to be fought against fiercely.

She also asked her party men to raise to the occasion and to work with greater unity. Mrs. Gandhi also called on the party to prepare for the 2014 Assembly elections.

AIR correspondent reports, the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the party's highest decision making body, is meeting after a gap of one year and in the backdrop of the slow down in economic growth and political issues.
