UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi laid the foundation stone of Ratlam-Dungarpur Rail line this morning in Rajasthan. The 2,083 crore rupee project will provide rail link for this tribal dominated area. Rajasthan Government has signed a MoU with the Railways for this project. On this occasion, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot, Minister of Rural Development Vilasrao Deshmukh and Minister of State for Railways K.H. Muniappa were also present. The 176 kilometre rail line will be beneficial for thermal plant of this area also. Mrs. Gandhi will launch National Rural Livelihood Mission in Banswara later in the day.
