Congress President Sonia Gandhi today had to leave the party's roadshow midway in Varanasi after she complained of uneasiness. Mrs Gandhi was leading the roadshow to launch the party's campaign for 2017 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency. However because of bad health she had to leave the roadshow towards the fag end of the eight-km march route. Party sources told a news agency that she cancelled her planned visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in the evening to offer prayers and was returning to Delhi.<br/><br/>Prime Minister has wished Mrs Gandhi speedy recovery. In a tweet Mr Modi said, he prays for her quick recovery and good health.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that it was the third major programme of the party in Uttar Pradesh in recent days ?.? Thousands of Congress supporters and workers took part in the roadshow ? ??which began ? from the Circuit House to Englishiya Line, ? ?but ?ended ?abruptly at Lahurabir ? of Varanasi?. <br/>? <br/>For several hours, Mrs. Gandhi, 69, stood in an SUV greeting thousands of people who gathered as her cavalcade of cars drove slowly through the streets of city in the roadshow. <br/><br/>On doctors' advice, unwell Sonia cut short her roadshow and has left the city to go to Delhi.
