Congress President Sonia Gandhi today alleged that due to anti-people policies of Gujarat state government condition of farmers and weaker section of the society was deteriorating day by day.

Addressing an mammoth election rally today at Siddhpur in Patan district in north Gujarat, she alleged that due bad state of law and order people are suffering from sense of insecurity.

She said that farmers are facing lack of irrigation facilities and non-availability of power. She said at one hand state government was selling 835 megawatt power to other states for making money and the other hand above lakhs of farmers are without power connection.

Our Correspondent covering election report said it was first election rally of Mrs. Gandhi in the area going for poll in second phase of Assembly elections. Large number of women and youth attended this election rally.
