UPA Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi has appealed to Militants outfits to join the Central Government peace initiative. Addressing a huge gathering at Saru Hajai Stadium in Gwahati today she said that most of the militants have already realized that violence is not going to solve their problems.

She said during last 10 years Assam has made tremendous progress. She said congress govt. in the state will never disappoint the people in making Assam one of the developed and peaceful state of the country.
