Sonia elected Cong Chief for 4th term

Sonia Gandhi has been elected unopposed for the post of the Congress President. She is elected for the fourth time in a row. An announcement to this effect was made by Congress party election in-charge and senior leader Oscar Fernandes in New Delhi on Friday. In her brief speech, Gandhi thanked the Congressmen for electing her for the post and said the post of the President of the Congress had a great responsibility towards the nation. She said right from the beginning, the Congress had been representing the expectations of every section of society, every region and every generation. She said the must realise the responsibility and the big role is had to play whether in power or otherwise.
