Congress President Sonia Gandhi has called upon the people of Goa to work unitedly for state's economic growth and preservation of its bio-diversity. Addressing a public meeting in Panaji on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebrations of the state's liberation, she urged Goans to work hard to strengthen its age old tradition of communal harmony, religious tolerance and brotherhood .
