Putting an end to the speculations on the political situation in Mumbai, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has accepted Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan's resignation. Mrs. Gandhi has also asked Mr Chavan to submit his resignation to the Governor. According to sources, the Chief Minister is likely to submit his resignation to the Governor shortly.
