The Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ambika Soni has called upon all the stakeholders in the magazine sector to harness the potential available in the sector so that it can grow with faster pace. Speaking at a seminar on India Magazine Congress in New Delhi today, Mrs Soni said that the government has liberalized the FDI policy norms and they should tap this opportunities. She said, despite global turndown, this sector has performed well. She said the the Governement is ready to extend all help to this sector for its growth. Mrs Soni said that the Government has also proposed amendments in Print Media related Acts in a view to provide more impetus to this sector and urged the Association of Indian Magazine to provide their supports and views for this exercise.
