In Assam, the son-in-law of the Congress MLA representing the Dhekiajuli Assembly segment was abducted by suspected National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) militants. An assistant manager of the Tingkharia tea estate in Sonitpur district, Bongshi Suna was abducted at gun point by miscreants when he was returning home on a motorcycle late on Wednesday night at Dhekiajuli. A massive search operation is on in the area to trace out the abducted tea manager. Earlier, the militants kidnapped two railway loco drivers from the same district, bordering Arunachal Pradesh, on 29th of the last month. They are still in the captivity of the abductors.
