Somyajeet Ghosh has become the youngest national Table Tennis Champion. The 19 year old Ghosh defeated six time champion Achant Sharat Kamal by 4-2 in Raipur today. In the finals, Ghosh won over experienced Sharat – 3-11, 11-5, 5-11, 1-8, 11-6 and 11-7. Shamini has lifted the national table tennis championship in the women's category by defeating Paulomi Ghattak by 4-1. Shamini won the title for the third time defeating Paulomi – 14-12, 11-9, 11-4 and 11-8 in the finals. Shamini had lifted the title in 2008 and 2010 too.Saunrab Chakravarti and G.Satyan have lifted men's doubles title. They defeated Aman Balgu and Noel Pinto by 3 – nil. In the women's category K. Spurti and Nikhat Banu have won the doubles title defeating Madhurika Patkar and Pooja Sahstrabudhey by 3 – 1. In the mixed doubles Utkarsh Gupta and Manika Batra have begged the titles defeating Harmit Desai and Frenaz Chipia.
