In Uttar Pradesh, the people have got some relief from biting cold due to slight increase in the temperature. Light drizzle in certain western districts has also eased out the foggy condition. However, the road and rail traffic continue to remain affected due to poor visibility in some parts of the state. AIR correspondent quoting met office sources reports that that night temperature has been recorded to two degrees above normal in Varanasi, Allahabad, Lucknow, Agra and Bareilly but it was 4 notches below normal in Gorakhpur. The met office has predicted thundershower at some places in west UP during next 24 hours.
