Some fifty species of mammals, birds and amphibians closer to extinction every year

A major report on the world’s threatened wild life says, some fifty species of mammals, birds and amphibians are moving closer to extinction every year. The study has been released during the closing days of a global conference in Japan to address the loss of bio-diversity. Twenty five thousand species were assessed and it was found that one fifth of them were threatened with extinction. Amphibians were doing worst.
