In Tennis, India has entered the World group of Davis Cup defeating South Africa 4-1. In the first reverse singles played yesterday Somdev Devvarman scripted a spectacular win over South Africa's Rik De Voest in a high-voltage five-setter to clear India's passage into the elite Davis Cup World Group after 11 years. Somdev won the match 3-6, 6-7, 7-6, 6-2, 6-4. In the second reverse singles Yuki Bhambri defeated his South African opponent Izak Van Der Merwe 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to give India a comprehensive victory over the hosts at Johannesburg.
