Somdev, Martin bow out of SA open

Somdev Devvarman and David Martin have bowed out of the doubles event of the South African Tennis Open championship. In the quarter-final in Johannesburg, the Indo-American pair fought valiantly before losing 7-6, 3-6, 10-12 to the Slovakian-Israeli pair of Karol Beck and Dudi Sela.In the 442,500 U.S. dollar ATP hard court event, Beck and Sela had earlier shocked top seeds Dustin Brown of Germany and Dutch Rogier Wassen 6-3 7-5 in their opening round.In the singles event, Somdev has already reached the quarter-final. He will clash against South African Rik de Voest for a place in the semi-finals.
